Marisel Jurado
Graduated from the Universidad Santa Maria La Antigua in 1998 with a Degree in Law and Political Science.
In 2000, she graduated with honors “Cum Laude” from the Postgraduate degree on “Strategic Management” of the Latin American University of Science and Technology (ULACIT) and with honors “Summa Cum Laude Probatus” of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) Bilingual ULACIT. In 2007, she completed her Master in Accounting and Auditing, with honors “Academic Palma.”
Among the programs highlighted in which she has participated: Diploma in International Business at the University of Santiago de Chile in 2000, Intensive Negotiation Program on Investment at the University of Lima, Peru, and Intensive Training in International Negotiations – Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. (2002).
Quality advice and professional ethics
She represented Panama as a negotiator for free trade agreements and foreign investment promotion agreements. She worked at the National Commission for the Promotion of Foreign Investment (PRO-PANAMA) in 1997, and has held important positions in the public sector, providing advice to ministers and deputy ministers of the Government of Panama, on International Negotiations and Trade.
She has been consultant to various government agencies and NGOs, among the most important development of the National Strategy of the Government of Panama for the Trade Capacity Building Program of the Trade Promotion Agreement with the United States. She is a member of the National Bar Association. She specializes in banking and commercial transactions related to purchase or sale of properties, Litigation and Civil law. Besides, she has experience on Negotiation, Administration and Application of Free Trade Agreements.
