Jacqueline Escobar
Graduated with honors from the Universidad Santa Maria La Antigua in 1995. She earned her Master degree in Law at Duke University in 1997. In 2002, Mrs. Escobar participated in the Strategic Negotiation Program at Harvard University.
In the early 90’s, she worked in the Tax Department of KPMG, and later served as a lawyer for the Legal Department at the National Foreign Trade Council of Panama in 1998. She was Chief of the Bilateral and Multilateral Affairs of the National Directorate of International Trade Negotiations, until the end of 1999, when she was appointed Ambassador and Alternate Representative of the Republic of Panama to the World Trade Organization.
In 2001, she served as advisor to the Minister of Trade and Industry.
Quality advice and professional ethics
In 2003, she held the position of Director of Trade Policy and Advisor to the Minister of Agriculture. She was part of the Ad Hoc Committee on Investment between Panama and the United States and Coordinator of the Agricultural Development Commission for the negotiations of the Free Trade Agreement between the Panama and the United States.
She has been a consultant for various projects related to international trade and in 2009 she was a consultant of several companies in the United States. She specializes in Commercial Law, Securities, International Trade and International Commercial Negotiations, with emphasis on Free Trade Agreements suscribed by Panama.
